The boat, in its function of carrying and protecting passengers (like a womb or mother), shares archetypal similarities with the Great Mother concept in many cultures. While the boat is not a literal metaphor in Hinduism, it does symbolize life's spiritual journey, transition, and divine travel. We feel that this interpretation is beautiful however it reads to you and we wear them as a symbol of our love of our family and life and all that it brings along the journey.
